Terms & Conditions

1. These terms

These Terms and Conditions ("terms") govern your use of the Hunters Countryside website at hunterscountryside.co.uk (the "website"). By accessing or using the website you agree to be bound by these terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Disclaimer, which form part of them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

The website is operated by Hunters Country Press Ltd, trading as Hunters Countryside, registered in England and Wales under company number 15919393, with its registered office at 3 Grosvenor House, 3 Chapel Street, Congleton, Cheshire, CW12 4AB ("Hunters Countryside", "we", "us", "our"). You can contact us at hello@hunterscountryside.co.uk.

2. The service

Hunters Countryside is a curated discovery platform showcasing farm shops, garden centres, country pubs, countryside walks and other rural places across Britain. The website is currently provided free of charge: it requires no account or registration, and we do not sell products, take payments or offer subscriptions through it. If we introduce paid features in future, they will be governed by additional terms presented to you at the time.

3. Using the website

You may use the website for lawful purposes only. In particular, you agree not to:

We may suspend or restrict access to the website, in whole or in part, where reasonably necessary to protect the website, our users or third parties.

4. Venue listings and editorial content

The venues, walks and places featured on the website are selected editorially and presented for general information and inspiration. A feature is not a recommendation, endorsement or guarantee of any venue, and we are not the operator of, or agent for, any venue shown. Venue details such as opening hours, facilities, menus, prices and availability are drawn from, or based on, information made available by third parties and can change without notice. Please verify important details directly with a venue before travelling. Our Disclaimer explains this in more detail.

5. Waitlist and enquiries

When you join our early-access waitlist or submit an enquiry, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, that you are entitled to provide it, and that it does not contain anything unlawful, offensive or infringing. Joining the waitlist secures your interest in early access; it does not create any obligation on us to launch particular features by a particular date, and does not involve any payment or commitment by you. Personal data you submit is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual property

The website and everything on it — including its text, photography, graphics, logos, the Hunters Countryside name and wordmark, and the design and arrangement of the site — are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.

You may view the website and print or save extracts for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, commercially exploit or create derivative works from any part of the website without our prior written permission. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use the Hunters Countryside name, logo or branding.

7. Third-party links

The website may link to third-party websites, including venues' own sites and our social media profiles. These links are provided for your convenience. We do not control third-party sites and accept no responsibility for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices; a link does not imply endorsement.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the website available and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it, or any content on it, will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at any particular time. We may update, change or withdraw content or features at our discretion, including as we develop the Hunters Countryside platform.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales.

Subject to that, and given that the website is provided free of charge for general information: we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website, or from reliance on any content on it — including venue information that proves inaccurate or out of date — whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, and including any loss of profit, business, goodwill or data. If you use the website for any commercial purpose, we have no liability to you for any business loss.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features or changes in the law. The current version will always be published on this page with its "last updated" date. Changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of the website after that constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. General

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of the website. If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts, and you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of the law of your home nation.
