In brief: Hunters Countryside does not set cookies, and we run no analytics or advertising trackers. The only thing stored on your device is a small local record if you join our waitlist, so we know you have already signed up. That is the whole story — this page simply sets it out properly.

1. About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Hunters Countryside ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on hunterscountryside.co.uk (the "website"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more generally.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device to remember information about your visit. Related technologies — such as browser local storage — allow a website to store information directly on your device without setting a cookie. UK law, principally the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) together with the UK GDPR, requires us to tell you about these technologies and, for any that are not strictly necessary, to ask for your consent.

3. Our use of cookies: none

The website does not set any cookies — first-party or third-party. We do not use analytics tools, advertising networks, tracking pixels or social media plugins that would place cookies on your device. Because we set no cookies that require consent, the website does not show a cookie consent banner.

4. Local storage

The website uses your browser's local storage in two situations, both functional and both kept on your device only — never read back to our servers or used to track you:

When you successfully join our early-access waitlist, we save an entry (named hc_luxury) recording the name and email address you submitted and the time of sign-up, as a local confirmation of your registration.
When you save a place on our interactive map, we save your list of saved places (named hc_wander_saved) so the map remembers them next time you visit on the same device.

You can remove either at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this website.

5. Third-party services

To deliver the website, your browser communicates with a small number of third-party services. None of these is used by us to set advertising or tracking cookies:

Vercel hosts the website and serves its pages.
Google Fonts supplies the typefaces you see; your browser requests the font files directly from Google's servers.
Formspree receives waitlist and enquiry form submissions when you choose to send them.

These requests necessarily involve your IP address, as with any content delivered over the internet. How these providers handle such data is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Managing storage in your browser

You can control and delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings, including clearing stored data for individual sites. Guidance for the major browsers is available at ico.org.uk. Because the website sets no cookies, blocking cookies will not affect how it works for you.

7. If this changes

As Hunters Countryside grows we may introduce features — such as analytics or user accounts — that use cookies. If we do, we will update this policy before those features go live and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent through a clear cookie banner before any non-essential cookie is set.
